The Gas Safety (Management) Regulations 1996 place a duty on a GT to ensure that gas is at a suitable pressure to ensure the safe operation of any appliance that a consumer could reasonably expect to operate. The following documents pertain to the safe operation of relevant gas assets, fittings, and associated equipment.
Gas Transporter document GT1 is for requesting information on pressure and capacity for a relevant gas service pipe.
Gas Transporter GT2 is the management procedure for requesting a gas Transporter to:
- Authorise the setting and sealing of regulators and associated safety devices
- Authorise the installation of a meter by-pass
- Approve a meter housing design
Gas Transporter GT4 is the management procedure for sealing of equipment to protect against theft of gas and tampering. This procedure is for use by Registered Users of the Uniform Network Code, IGT UNC and their representatives
